Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
Our commitment
FreshPress is built on a fundamental principle: we do not collect, store, sell, or share your personal data. This is not a legal technicality — it is the core of our product.
What we do NOT collect
- No tracking cookies
- No advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID, or equivalent)
- No browsing or watch history profiles
- No location data
- No device fingerprinting
- No third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude)
- No third-party advertising SDKs
- No embedded content from external services
- No social media tracking pixels
What we store
FreshPress stores only what is strictly necessary to operate the platform:
- Videos: Files uploaded by contributors, along with the title, description, source attribution, category, and license information provided at upload.
- Contributor names: Display names voluntarily provided by contributors who upload content. No email addresses, passwords, or personal information are required.
- Content flags: When a visitor flags content for editorial review, we store the flag reason and optional detail text. No identifying information about the flagger is stored.
Server logs
Our web server generates standard access logs for operational purposes (monitoring uptime, diagnosing errors). These logs may temporarily contain IP addresses. Logs are automatically deleted within 7 days and are never shared with third parties, used for analytics, or linked to any user profile.
Third-party services
FreshPress does not embed, load, or communicate with any third-party services. There are no external fonts, scripts, analytics tools, CDNs, or advertising networks on this platform. Every resource is served directly from FreshPress's own servers.
Children's privacy
FreshPress does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we collect no personal data at all, there is no children's data to protect — by design.
iOS app
The FreshPress iOS app follows the same privacy principles as the website. The app:
- Does not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework because it does not track users
- Does not collect or transmit any device identifiers
- Does not use any third-party SDKs or frameworks
- Requests photo library access only when you choose to upload a video, and only accesses the specific file you select
- Communicates only with FreshPress's own servers
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we will publish the changes here with a clear explanation of what changed and why. Our commitment to zero data collection will not change.
