Editorial Guidelines & Community Standards

FreshPress exists because editorial standards matter. These guidelines apply to all content on the platform. They are enforced by our editorial team and community moderation.

Source attribution requirements

All content uploaded to FreshPress must include accurate source attribution. This is non-negotiable.

Content with missing, incomplete, or inaccurate source attribution is subject to review and removal.

Content standards

Accuracy

Factual claims presented as news or documentary content must be substantiated. If a claim cannot be independently verified, it should be clearly labeled as unverified or alleged. Corrections must be issued promptly and transparently when errors are identified.

Context

Content must provide sufficient context for the viewer to understand what they are watching. Misleading edits, deceptive framing, and deliberate omission of relevant context violate these standards.

Transparency

Conflicts of interest, funding sources, and editorial perspectives should be disclosed. Sponsored content must be clearly labeled. Opinion must be distinguished from reporting.

Prohibited content
